Music is distracting.. I find it so hard to truly focus on the meaning of the songs I sing in church when melodies entertwine with words..


I love music.. There is something inexplicable and extremely emotional that happens to me when I really feel it. I have no doubts that music is one of the best gifts we receive from God, but in church, sadly, I find myself worshiping the music instead of the inspiration for the words Himself.

Often I have to stop and evaluate the words I'm singing.. Rearanging my focus on God.

Although rethinking my worship intentions stirs my understanding of God, it's a habit I'm looking to break..

She Said Yes!!

Micah and David finally got engaged yesterday!

John and MaryAnn, Ginger, Ryan ,Taylor, Peter, Casey, Micah, David, and me all went rock climbing at Mt. Magazine where it went down =)

After a couple hours of climbing, David and Micah decided to lead climb up a certain route.
David went first with Micah following..
When she got to the top they sat and talked while they watched the sun set =)
Then he popped the question..

Meanwhile we were all waiting impatiently on the ground for Micah's exclamatin of joy..
But what we heard wasn't from Micah..
It was David letting out a country hollar and an ecstatic "She said yes!!"

Everyone cheered =)

We drove home and surprised Micah again with friends and relatives waiting for an engagement party at the Rice's.. It was so much fun!

It's so weird to look at Micah and see how things have changed from us being little sisters to a high school senior and an engaged adult. . Weird.. But I like the adventure!

I'm so happy for Micah and David =) I couldn't think of a better man for my sister!
